INVENTION:
EZ-X Portable Gym - A compact, portable gym system which features collapsible bars and interlocking weights so that the user can do a variety of different weight training exercises with one device. Also includes resistance cords and more. Like having an entire gym in one bag.
Jerry Wesley, 51, is a correctional officer with the California Department of Corrections in San Diego. He also has worked in law enforcement for the past 10 years. Jerry lives with his girlfriend and has a 22-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. The EZ-X is a passion project for him, so much so that it caused the break-up of his first marriage. He has devoted countless hours and resources to developing the product, which he hopes will make it easy for anyone to get a complete workout anywhere, anytime.
I would like to know if this product is for sale. I’m very interested in the EZ-X Portable Gym.
Thanks Tony, It’s been awhile since I’ve had the opportunity to address this issue. The product will eventually be offered for sale, but not right now, I had the opportunity to sell the product to a few companies for them for a small percentage of profit to me, I bowed out. Several companies wanted to license my special twist-lock connection, similar to the Bowflex select II dumbbell that are out. Before I roll out with product, I had to put a lot of legal things into place (Patent filing for new product elements). My most hardest thing to deal with was the fame issue, I don’t care for it, I did it for my creation after having sent countless other representative into the field to showcase my product, they had failed me miserably, and tried to get their own side deals. There’s a price for fame, it invades one’s privacy in ways that are very scary to me. I have an open vein, the center part of my heart is wide open, it is sincere and pure and speak from the heart, thus allowing myself for great injury. Let me mention one thing, If I had to do it all over again, I would only work on an invention that required only a few steps in the production process.
