The Yankee Invention Exposition is a three day event starting on October 19 and ending on October 21, where inventors can showcase their products to manufacturers, investors, venture capitalists, distributors, licensing firms, wholesalers/retailers and marketers. Also exhibiting will be suppliers of services to inventors including prototypers, marketing experts, telemarketing companies, patent attorneys, fulfillment companies and industrial designers. Entrepreneur Workshops covering basic skills will be available. Yankee Entrepreneur Workshops will be conducted Thursday afternoon and during Friday and Saturday mornings prior to opening of the exhibits, and during the showing of the exhibits. The workshops will cover many subjects of interest to inventors and entrepreneurs. The workshops will be widely publicized and tickets sold to the public. Exhibitors will receive free admission to the workshops..


The Yankee Expo attracts product scouts, manufacturers, investors and the public at large. Whether you seek public exposure of your invention to determine market acceptance, a partner or investor, licensing of your development to a manufacturer or entrepreneur, or to gain experience from your fellow exhibitors, you will learn first hand what it takes to bring your invention to market.

The Expo runs from Thursday October 19, 2006 to Saturday, October 21, 2006 and will be held at the Waterbury Armory, 64 Field Street, and at Silas Bronson Library, 267 Grand Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, easily accessible from I-84. Directions to Silas Bronson Library: from I-84 in either direction, take Exit 21 and follow signs to “Public Library”. Directions to parking for the Waterbury Armory: from I-84 in either direction, take exit 21 and follow signs to “Public Library”. When proceeding up Field Street, enter parking garage on right, opposite the Waterbury Armory. See map. Waterbury is 1½ hours from New York City and 2 hours from Boston by car. Airports servicing Waterbury include Bradley International (Hartford), Tweed Airport (New Haven) and JFK or LaGuardia airports (New York City). Rail, bus and limousine services are convenient to downtown Waterbury near the Courtyard by Marriott. Bonanza bus is available from the Port Authority in downtown New York City. Limousine service is available directly from JFK or LaGuardia airports, or from Bradley International airport.
